I am delighted to welcome you to our school website. We hope it will keep you up-to-date with the latest information about our school and will illustrate some of the exciting and life learning possibilities that are available at our school.
At Cornfield we cater for students and young people with multi challenges related to social, emotional & mental health needs (SEMH) from age 9 to 16. Our current cohort is all boys from the locality and across West Sussex.
We work hard to ensure that all our young people have access to the highest possible standard of education, adapted to their individual needs; where students are supported with strategies to enable them to manage their behaviour, emotional and mental health needs which will allow them to succeed in their chosen path post school.
A broad, varied, kinaesthetic and active curriculum allows students to discover their strengths which our experienced staff nurture to support each student to develop the skills to engage purposefully in their education and make informed choices for post 16. Our core purpose is to help students find the right strategies to help them manage and regulate themselves successfully so that they can contribute positively to the wider community beyond school and their own lifelong learning.
We work with a wide selection of agencies and provisions to extend students experiences and help them to become independent. We also work closely with our Federation schools and training schools including Chichester University. The relationship we form with parents and carers is key to ensuring students feel fully supported as they grow through the school.
We welcome a visit from you; please contact us if you would like any further information.
